Information we collect

We collect information you provide through the website and app. This may include account and contact details; public profile or business information; project listings; offers; messages; service area, experience, licensing and insurance statements; support requests; and website intake forms.

Our hosting, authentication and security providers may also process basic technical information such as IP address, timestamps, browser or device information and service activity. The website intake service uses a salted hash of an IP address in a short-lived hourly rate-limit record; it does not store the raw address or that hash with the submission.

How we use it

We use information to create and secure accounts; display profiles and project information according to the service's current visibility settings; deliver offers and messages; review website intake submissions; facilitate introductions; provide service notices and support; investigate abuse; comply with law; and maintain and improve Contractors Club.

When you submit a website intake form, we record the consent time, form source and the version date of the Terms and Privacy Policy shown with that form.

What other people can see

Information you place in a public provider profile may be visible to visitors. Project information is visible to people who can access the relevant part of the app. Offers and messages are shared with their intended participants. Do not include private or sensitive information in public fields or send information through a message that you do not want its recipient to receive.

Website intake submissions are reviewed by Contractors Club. Relevant project information may be shared with potential independent providers, and relevant provider information may be shared with project owners to facilitate an introduction. Project-owner contact details are not published as a public directory.

Service providers and other disclosure

We use vendors that help host, authenticate, store, secure and send service communications. They may process information for those purposes. We may also disclose information when required by law, to respond to valid legal process, or when reasonably necessary to protect users, other people, the service or our rights. We do not sell personal information.

Retention and choices

We retain records for as long as reasonably needed to operate and secure the service, maintain appropriate business records, resolve disputes and meet legal obligations. Retention can vary by record type and context.

You can edit certain account, profile and project information in the app. To request access, correction or deletion, email college.contractors.club@gmail.com. We may need to verify the request, and some records may be retained where reasonably necessary for security, disputes or legal obligations.

Security

We use safeguards intended to reduce risk, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. Protect access to your email account and sign-in links, and contact us if you believe your account or information has been misused.

Age

Contractors Club is intended for adults. Do not use the service if you are under 18.

Updates

We may update this policy as the service evolves. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
